My name is Pony and I’m from Detroit. I came to the Ann Arbor/Ypsi area for a change of environment and because there’s more positive resources here. People look out for you here. There’s Groundcover, but also the food pantry, the Delonis Center, a whole lot. I go way back with Groundcover. I started selling papers in 2016. I like fashion and sports and often go to Pinball Petes to play in the arcades. To sum it up, I’m just an average guy here trying to make a living. I’m here to survive!

My name is Terri. I’m from A2 and have lived here for 67 years. About six years ago, a friend invited me to the Growing Hope dinner in Ypsi and told me about Groundcover. She thought that would be a good way for me to make money. At the time, I was having trouble maintaining a regular job because of my health. I am a very perceptive person and I like talking about politics and GC articles with people who come buy the paper from me. I have completed two years of college. My hobbies are animals, the outdoors and swimming.

I don't have a fixed spot right now. Somewhere around downtown, sometimes at Argus on Friday nights.

I would describe myself as a person who enjoys the way people’s eyes light up when their smiles shine and they feel a little better about themselves or when they just like to engage about how to work together to fix things.

Roberto is from Cuba and came to the U.S. in 1980. He has lived in Florida, Illinois, NY, Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, Washington, Washington D.C., Indiana, and of course, Michigan! When not selling papers (which he does everyday), Roberto likes to eat Mexican food, have a good time, dance, and be with friends

I have done different types of arts. Painting, drawings, knife carving, designs on my cars, paintings, table mosaics, shoe designing. Plus some food art!

Hello, the most important thing to know about me is that I am an educator, writer, community builder and anti-capitalist organizer. My life is devoted to two things: providing the education to the homeless that they weren’t given in high school and to end the capitalist system. As more citizens become displaced and marginalized, I am gearing up and firing up my peers and community to defend the victims of capitalism.

My name is Tabitha Ludwig. I am the mother of five children and also have six stepchildren. Me and my amazing fiance plan to have a court wedding soon.
